Guidelines for Return to Church

Entering & Exiting the Building

  1. Please use only the front doors. The doors will remain open or be opened for you.
  2. There will be a sanitizer station in lobby of church. Please sanitize your hands as you enter the building.
  3. Before, during and after service physical distancing needs to be observed.
  4. Household or social circle groups need to sit together to maximize the space available.
  5. Please follow the directions of the ushers as they seat people in assigned pews. Please remain in your pew as when the service is finished and those in pews at back of church will exit first at the direction of the ushers.
  6. Upon completion of service please fellowship with others outside from a social distance. We do need to be mindful of when Malton Baptist Church returns to regular services that we vacate the property in a timely manner. We will update when they begin regular services

During Church Services

  1. There will be no bulletin handed out, we will continue with our emailed digital bulletin.
  2. There will be no offering plate passed around. There will be an offering box on the back pew for you to place your offering in or you can continue using tithly or e-transfer.
  3. The only washroom available will be on the main level. We will be providing regular cleaning.
  4. The basement and East Wing will be closed for now.page1image18739200 page1image18738624
  5. All hymnals, offering envelopes and Bibles have been removed from the pews. If you need a Bible we will be more than happy to provide you with one for you to keep. Please contact Pastor Matt if you need more offering envelopes.
  6. It is now required for everyone to wear masks inside, so this will be required for our church service inside. This has just become mandatory June 30, 2020, so we are awaiting updates, but it is our understanding that anyone age 3 and above will need to wear a mask to attend church.

Children

  1. There will not be child care or children’s ministry at this time.
  2. Please encourage your child/children to fill the sermon notes for children. They can colour or write about what they hear during church. These were emailed out, but please let us know if you need them.
  3. The nursery room will be open for parents with young children under the age of 4. Only a rocking chair, small table and chair will be available and we will clean those before the services.
  4. In addition to the nursery, we have one pew designated in the back of the auditorium for parents with young children and the pew in the main entrance will be available also for parents with young children.
